Urdd Gobaith Cymru

Each year it holds a national festival of culture for young people – the Urdd National Eisteddfod. In 2011 it will be held in Swansea between 30 May and 4 June.

As a way of promoting Welsh amongst young people Urdd Gobaith Cymru hold residential courses across Wales. There are residential centres in Cardiff, Llangrannog, Glan Llyn and Pentre Ifan in Pembrokeshire offering activity and educational courses for all ages.

The Urdd receives over £650,000 funding from the Welsh Government through the Welsh Language Board.
