Teacher Assessments of the Non-Core Subjects at Key Stage 3, 2008
The latest National Statistics on results of the teacher assessments of non-core subjects at Key Stage 3 for Wales 2008 produced by the Welsh Assembly Government were released on 4 September 2008 according to the arrangements approved by the UK Statistics Authority.
Statistics on attainment in the non-core subjects at Key Stage 3 includes final data for Wales for the 2008 teacher assessments.
The Release

The key points for 2008 are:
- The percentage of pupils achieving level 5 (the expected level) or above varied from 76.4 per cent in Information Technology to 54.1 per cent in Welsh 2nd language.
- Girls performed better than boys in all subjects apart from in Physical Education, where boys outperformed girls
Final 2008 data for teacher assessment results in the Core subjects was published on the 28th August in SDR 129/2008 : "National Curriculum Assessments of 7, 11 and 14 year olds: Wales 2008".
