NHS Immunisation, 2007-08
The latest National Statistics on NHS immunisation in Wales produced by the Welsh Assembly Government were released on 25 November 2008 according to the arrangements approved by the UK Statistics Authority.
This statistical release summarises information about the uptake of immunisation, primarily childhood immunisations, during the year ended 31 March 2008. The latest release updates the statistics previously released on 29 November 2007.

The key points from the latest release are:
Of the children who reached their 2nd birthday in the year ended 31 March 2008:
- 97% had been immunised against diphtheria, tetanus, polio, pertussis (whooping cough) and haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib);
- 94% had been immunised against meningitis C; and
- 88% had been immunised against measles, mumps and rubella.
During the autumn and winter of 2007-08, 64% of people aged 65 or over were immunised against influenza
