DAN 24/7 is the all-Wales drug and alcohol helpline. It is also the single point of contact for Drug Interventions Programme clients.

The bilingual helpline is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and calls from UK landlines are free (some mobile phone networks may charge).


 

The helpline offers support and advice to:

  • existing and potential drug users
  • families, parents and carers
  • Drug Interventions Programme clients
  • substance misuse professionals both from Wales and outside the area.

It is integrated with local and regional substance misuse services across Wales. The single telephone number makes it easier for substance misusers to access services, increasing the likelihood that they will start and eventually complete treatment.

The helpline has the potential to have a major impact on how individuals access treatment and lead to more wide-ranging benefits for families and carers.
