Memorandum of understanding - Welsh Assembly Government and Health Protection Agency

The Welsh Assembly Government,

• Health Protection Agency,
• Public Health Wales,
• Local Health Boards and
• Local Government in Wales

-have a shared objective of protecting the health of the public in Wales.

This involves co-operation and joint working on

• immunisation and vaccination programmes
• infections and communicable diseases
• environmental threats and
• hazards to human health

-by preparing and planning effective response to emergencies.

We are committed to working in partnership to achieve this goal.

This document describes how the Welsh Assembly Government and Health Protection Agency will communicate and coordinate their work to help ensure effective working relationships.
