Fixed Penalty Notice Returns




Fixed Penalty Notices are used as a way to tackle local environmental crime. The Notices are issued for Litter, Dog Fouling, Graffiti, Fly-posting and Noise Offences. We ask Local Authorities to tell us how many Notices they issue each year.

This allows us to monitor how effectively enforcement measures are being implemented across Wales.

The Fixed Penalty Notices issued have increased from 2,351 in 2010-11 up to 3,350 in 2011-12.
