European Pollutant Release and Transfer Register

The European Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (E-PRTR) describes releases of substances to the environment and waste transfers. It provides easy access to information about pollution from industrial sources in their local area, nationally and across Europe.

Operators of A2 (medium risk) installations are regulated by local authorities in Wales. These installations must report certain pollutant releases and transfers to air, water and land to the local authorities under the E-PRTR Regulation.
