Important information for sheep producers

Tagging/Identification

Failure to use correct tags could result in Single Payment/Agri-environment penalties. For sheep born on or after 31 December 2009 you can choose:

  1. Full EID (2 identifiers, one of which must be an
    electronic device).Both identifiers will have the UK flock number and anindividual number printed on the outside.
    or
  2. A single electronic slaughter tag. This tag will only have the UK flock number printed on the outside.
    or
  3. A single conventional slaughter tag. This tag will only have the UK flock number printed on the outside.
