Steps to Employment

It aims is to help those unemployed adults to access training and work experience opportunities in preparation for employment or further learning.

Steps to Employment is offered at two distinct levels to ensure a focus on the requirements of the each individual learner and provide support and encouragement to help them to progress.

Learning opportunities are available in a range of settings and consideration given to preferred learning styles and interests.

Jobcentre Plus staff plays a major role in referring learners to Steps to Employment. Individuals will need to undertake a pre-eligibility check with Jobcentre Plus before entering the programme.
