A curriculum of opportunity

‘More able and talented’ describes learners who require opportunities for enrichment and extension that go beyond those provided for the general cohort of learners.

The booklet:

• raises awareness of the needs of more able and talented learners
• provides guidelines for discussion and decision-making in schools with regard to meeting these needs
• supports schools in making effective use of assessment information involving parents and learners to enhance learning
• provides examples of good practice which support and nurture the development of more able and talented learners.
