Children and Families Organisation Grant (CFOG)

The Children and Families Organisation Grant (CFOG) provides core funding for voluntary organisations working at an all-Wales level to develop child and family support services.

Aim

Its aim is to develop the capacities of eligible voluntary organisations to help us achieve our objectives of tackling child poverty and creating a more inclusive society with equality of opportunities.

Funding

A total of £10.4 million has been awarded to the CFOG for three years until 2010/11. A competitive bidding round was held between August and October 2007 and 19 organisations will receive grants for three years until 2011.

National Voluntary Youth Organisations Grants Scheme

Aim

The aim of this scheme is to assist national voluntary youth organisations, which facilitate youth services for young people in Wales, to increase the extent and quality of opportunities for non-formal learning for all 11 to 25 year olds in Wales.

Any national voluntary organisation, which can show that it is operating in the Youth Work/Service Sector and delivering a distinct programme of youth work in Wales, to young people aged 11-25 years of age, is eligible to apply.

The scheme is not open to local voluntary youth groups or organisations or constituent groups of National Voluntary Youth Organisations.

Applications

The scheme operates on a 3-year funding cycle and is currently closed to applicants. The next funding cycle will begin on 1 April 2012 and end on 31 March 2015. The Scheme will be re-opened to applications in the summer of 2012.
