This annual statement sets out our key activities to support growth and sustainable jobs across Wales.

Growth and sustainable jobs are the heart of the Welsh Government’s Programme for Government. Delivery against these is our over-riding priority.

As part of the Programme for Government a commitment was made to publish an Annual Statement to set out how we are supporting Businesses in Wales.

The main influences on Welsh business and the economy in the short to medium-term are the prevailing conditions of the global economy and the monetary and fiscal policy set by the UK Government. 

Nevertheless, we have taken significant steps to improve the position of businesses in Wales and the environment within which they operate.
