Access to Information
The Welsh Assembly Government has followed the principles of openness in government for many years. It has formally adopted a Code of Practice and a publication scheme. They give the principles we will follow and say what we will routinely publish.
Amongst our publications are:
- A Code of Practice on Access to Information
- Internal guidance on handling requests for information and applying the relevant laws
- The disclosure log which lists requests for information and says what was disclosed
- Decision Reports - A record of each formal Ministerial decision which shows what the Minister decided and gives the facts and analyses they took into account
- Guidance on how to ask for information for people who want information held by the Welsh Assembly Government.
We also publish a Code of Practice on Complaints which covers complaints about our failure to provide information.
