A big screen on the maes will show live coverage of the London 2012 Olympics throughout the whole week of the event in the Vale of Glamorgan.
The Minister with responsibility for the Welsh language, Leighton Andrews, said:
“I am delighted we are able to provide this support to Wales’ largest cultural event, the National Eisteddfod. I’m sure there will be great interest in the London 2012 Games and now the tens of thousands of people coming to the Vale of Glamorgan for this year’s event will be able to follow all the action.”
National Eisteddfod Chief Executive, Elfed Roberts, said,
“We are grateful to the Welsh Government for providing a large screen to enable our visitors to enjoy the Olympic Games at this year’s Eisteddfod.
"We hope the screen will be very popular and that our visitors will take the time to enjoy the Games in the chilled and friendly Eisteddfod atmosphere in Llandow.”
