This consultation summarises progress against our fuel poverty objectives. It will inform an update to the Strategy on actions being taken to address fuel poverty.

What is fuel poverty?

A household is in fuel poverty if they spend 10% or more of their income on fuel to keep their home warm.

About this consultation

This consultation will revise A Fuel Poverty Commitment for Wales and outline the Assembly Government’s approach to eradicating fuel poverty. We want to work with stakeholders to develop delivery that will eradicate fuel poverty in Wales.

This consultation has been informed by the research and responses to the consultation on the National Energy Efficiency and Savings Plan.
